Who We Are
Aaron Norrish
Founder/Plan Manager
My journey in the disability industry began back in 2005, following a car accident that significantly changed my life, transforming me into what I used to call a “professional patient” for over five years. It was a period filled with endless appointments, treatments, and the constant navigation of the healthcare system—a challenging time that unveiled my passion for the field and crystallised my goal in life: to help those who fall through the gaps in the health system.
This passion led me to work in the industry since 2009, leveraging my bachelor's degree in science and extensive experience. I've managed eight multidisciplinary, international clinics specialising in Functional Neurology across various countries, including Canada and Hong Kong, and have had the honour of presenting my work internationally, such as at the McLean Hospital in Boston, USA.
Outside my professional life, I'm a husband and father of two wonderful young kids. This role has deepened my understanding of the importance of support and care, not just for the individual with a disability but for their entire family.
Creating Simplified Plan Management was a direct response to my experiences and the complexities I observed in the NDIS system. I realised that it might be easier to learn bookkeeping myself than to explain the nuanced needs of those with disabilities to someone unfamiliar with the landscape. This service is our attempt to bridge that gap, providing a knowledgeable, compassionate support system that understands both the financial and personal aspects of living with a disability.
We aim to ease the stress of managing NDIS funding, offering peace of mind and a guiding hand through the maze of services, invoices, and plans. It's our way of contributing to a world where everyone, regardless of their condition, can achieve their goals and live a fully enjoyable and complete life, in whatever form that means to them.
The journey has been anything but easy, but it's been enriching. Each day reminds me of the resilience of the human spirit and the profound impact of empathy and understanding.
I'm here to offer support and guidance and share this journey with all of you.

Founder/Plan Manager
Since 2013, I have dedicated myself to working in the Aged Care and Disability sector. This journey has been profoundly rewarding, allowing me the opportunity to support individuals with diverse needs, including those in my own family. My experience spans from management roles where I had the distinct honor of advocating for participants as they navigated the complexities of transitioning into the NDIS—a time before the profession of Support Coordination was established.
My engagement with the disability community has not only been through direct support but also in a unique, yet equally impactful way, through my passion for photography. While I hold an Applied Science degree in Photography and have studied Branding, Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations, it's the storytelling aspect of photography that resonates most deeply with my work in the disability sector. Photography has been a powerful tool for me to capture and share the stories of those I support, highlighting their triumphs, challenges, and the everyday beauty of their lives. It's a medium through which their voices and stories can be heard and seen, advocating for understanding and acceptance in a profound way.
In this work, my faithful assistant, Teddy—a rescue dog since 2018—has been by my side, reminding me of the importance of empathy, perseverance, and the impact of offering a helping hand (or paw, in his case).
As I look forward to continuing my advocacy and support within the NDIS framework, I am eager to share with you the incredible stories of resilience, strength, and hope that I encounter every day. It is my belief that through understanding and recognizing the unique journeys of individuals with disabilities, we can foster a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am excited to embark on this journey with you, exploring and sharing the profound narratives of those we support.
